Who is Allie Campbell?

Hi! I'm Allie. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm on a journey to learn more about something I feel passionately about - building community. 

I am a digital marketing student, but I have a career in development for a local nonprofit in Des Moines, Iowa. I love the creative aspect of my studies, and I love the advocacy and convening in my current role in nonprofit! It's my goal to one day combine both of these passions into a meaningful, viable career while making the world around me a better, more inclusive space.

I am a non-traditional student. I took a gap-decade to explore the world and learn valuable life skills. I wouldn't trade my travels or experiences for anything. It's what lead me to where I am! 

When I'm not working or studying, you can find me with Keke (cat) or Bella (dog) snuggling on the couch watching a documentary or working on some new DIY project (I just bought a house last fall!)

I like to play beach volleyball, BINGO, board games, card games, any game really! I spend time volunteering virtually for my local Young Nonprofit Professionals Network as a Marketing Co-Chair and on a Cancer Gala committee as a Marketing and Social Media Manager. 

My general demeanor is bubbly and charismatic, but with a high attention to detail and drive to learn. I am diagnosed ADHD and GAD which presents its own challenges but, I'm learning and that's okay! 

My skills include building and maintaining meaningful relationships, finding creative solutions, and empowering the intrinsic motivation to learn new things.
